About Sunsation Dressage
L’élevage Sunsation est un élevage familial à taille humaine. Nous privilégions la qualité à la quantité, 1 naissance tous les 2 ans par poulinière, afin de laisser aux mères le temps de bien se remettre entre chaque poulain.
Les poulinières et les poulains jusqu’à leurs trois ans bénéficient des bienfaits des grandes pâtures normandes, de foin bio à volonté toute l’année, de repas granulé adaptés 2 fois par jour en complément, de spacieuses stabulations ouvertes sur un vaste paddock stabilisé pour l'hiver. Les poulains sont manipulés presque quotidiennement et habitués au port du licol.

Lorsque les poulains arrivent dans l’été de leurs trois ans, je les accueille en région parisienne. La période estivale leur permet de profiter encore longuement des pâtures et de faire ainsi une transition progressive vers leur carrière de Cheval de Sport. Le débourrage de mes chevaux de sport est effectué par mes soins. Les poulains me côtoient depuis leur plus jeune âge et les débourrages se passent toujours très bien!

Mes chevaux vont 7 jours sur 7 au paddock toute l’année (oui même le 1er janvier et le 24 et 25 décembre) ils ont la chance d'avoir accès à de beaux paddocks en herbe l’été (Si Si avec de la vraie herbe !). Et bien sûr ils sont tous un suivi vétérinaire, maréchal, ostéopathe, tous les mois massage équin Equiperformance) etc. …

En bref nous sommes une petite entreprise artisanale (sans château en arrière-plan sur nos vidéos, enfin pas encore), qui espère aller loin dans le sport!
Sunsation Stud is first and foremost a family farm, favoring quality over quantity. Broodmares are only put into foal every second year and after vet checks, in order to give them time to recover well between each foal.
Broodmares and foals aged up to 3 years, enjoy the benefits from large Normandy pastures and organic hay at lib all year round. When required, granulated meals are fed twice daily. Spacious stalls open on a large paddock stabilized for winter conditions allowing for movement as the horses require all year round. Foals are handled almost daily and accustomed to wearing the halter from an early age.

During the summer of the foal’s third year, they are brought to the yard near Paris for backing. The summer period allows them to enjoy the pastures for a long time and thus make a gradual transition to their career as Sport horse. The backing of all the horses at the stud is carried out by Wiedeke herself. As the foals have been with her since they were very young, there is a unique bond and trust, and the backing process always goes very well!

All horses go to the paddock daily all year round (January1st and December 24th, 25th included). They have access to beautiful paddocks in the summer (with real grass!) as well as veterinary follow-ups, farrier, osteopath, every month equine massage (Equiperformance) and other therapies required for routine care and well-being.
Sunsation Dressage is a small craft company (without a castle in the background on our videos, not yet), and through careful planning and dedication, hope to excel further in the sport!
